Jesus in Question: Worshiping Snakes?

http://www.iflscience.com/plants-and-animals/virgin-birth-confirmed-world-s-longest-snake-species

Why is it that when so many creatures are capable of a virgin birth, Christians believe that a virgin birth is evidence that Mary was impregnated with the Messiah, G-d?

Jews say the New Testament contains a misinterpretation of the prophets in scripture, and that virgin birth meant that Moshiach would be born of a young monogamous woman in wedlock.

What is so different between the virgin birth between a snake and a human that with the snake the conclusion drawn with the idea is, "That is neat trivia," while in the case of Jesus it is evidence to a Christian claim that he is a deity.

Based upon Christian reasoning; why shouldn't we worship this snake as a Gd (the one at the website above)?

If Mary underwent parthenogenesis how can we determine the exact nature of this rarity to question if either of the snake or the human was conceived by a different mechanism?

From reading Torah I conclude that Gd doesn't want me worshipping any snakes because it is forbidden to worship that which is incarnate in the world; be it a rock, a snake, or Jesus.
